The Statue of President Ho Chi Minh in Ho Chi Minh City is 4.50 meters high and made of copper alloy. The statue stands on a dark color solid block of rock with 1.8m in height. Both the statue and the pedestal are placed on the 90cm-high estrade. The total height of the monument is 7.20 meters.

Three fists holding 3 guns represents the power of 3 troops: The main army, the local army and the guerilla men. They also symbolizes the three steel fists that smashed the American "Special War Strategy", a military doctrine that the US applied during Southern Vietnam war and was defeated in the famous battle of Binh Gia that shook the United States and terrified the Saigon former government.

Uncle Ho shook hands to congratulate Uncle Ton on being elected Vice President of the National Assembly II in 1960, a great image of national unity and the North-South solidarity in the struggle for national reunification. The monument was constructed at Thong Nhat Park, Hanoi capital. It was a meaningful gift from the Party and people of Ho Chi Minh City presented to the Capital on the occasion of the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi (2010).
